The Hot Rock series features specially edited classic rock tracks that can be used for Rockschool’s grade exams.

The fully transcribed versions can be used in the performance units of GCSE’s, A Levels and other public exams.

Each book features eight classic and contemporary rock tracks. The first half of the book contains sections from the songs specially for use in a Rockschool Grade 3 exam. There is a Fact File on each track, with essential background information on the bands and the song and a Walkthrough detailing all the technical information needed to play the track.

The second half of the book contains full transcriptions of the eight songs along with a technical guide for playing tracks in higher level exams. These tracks can also be used as performance pieces in Creative and Media Diploma units.

CD1 contains full mixes and backing tracks of the edited pieces, both with and without clicks, that can be used in Rockschool Grade 3 Drum exams,

CD2 contains full transcriptions with backing tracks for you to play along to. Great for vocalists too!

Rockschool grades are accredited by the Qualifications & Curriculum Authority (QCA).
