Information about O Holy Night (Flute Trio)
O Holy Night (Cantique de Noël) is a well known Christmas carol composed by Adolphe Adam in 1847. The words of the song are set to the poem Minuit, chrétiens (Midnight, Christians) by the French poet Placide Cappeau.
This arrangement for 3 flutes allows all players an interesting part to play, whilst the 3rd flute part enables players with a limited note range to partake in exciting ensemble playing.
O Holy Night would make a highly successful and enjoyable addition to the Flute ensemble Christmas repertoire for both audience and players.
